Merici Med Prep Program

Ursuline High School’s Merici Med Prep Program is a four-year program designed with the intention of preparing students in medicine and the healthcare sector, providing them with knowledge for the next level of education.

The curriculum combines academic sessions at the university with hours of hands-on instruction from medical professionals, helping students lay a strong foundation for more specialized programs and early talent identification.

The school benefits from a partnership with Mercy Health in Ohio, which offers students hands-on medical training in CPR, healthcare services, first aid, blood-borne pathogens research, food preparation, C-spinal immobilization, and an incident management program, among other practical medical courses. Mercy Health Training includes hands-on instructional videos, job placement services, virtual anatomy practice, and opportunities to participate in scientific/medical conferences, fairs, and related events. This will also assist students in enhancing their applications to medical and pharmacy schools.

In addition to top notch academic programs, the school also provides a wide range of extracurricular and after-school activities, allowing students to shape their social and professional lives around their interests, needs, and passions. At Ursuline High School, there are many well-developed groups, such as a student council, a quiz club, a science club, a math club, a relationship ambassador program, and more.
