Stage 1: UK student visa application
There are 3 crucial steps at this stage that require careful planning:
- Step 1: Make an appointment and submit your application for a UK student visa online, then go directly to the British Embassy in Hanoi if you are in the North and to the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City if you are in the South.
- Step 2: Gather all required documentation. All of these papers must be notarized in person with the originals and have a six-month validity limit.
- Step 3: Interview with the Officer for the UK Student Visa
Please ensure that you provide truthful, accurate information during the interview and visa application processes. Your application for a UK student visa may be rejected at any time if your information is found to be false or incorrect.
The optimal time to get ready for the visa application is 90 days before the day you depart for the UK. The rationale behind this is that if there are any mistakes before you formally submit your application, you will have sufficient opportunity to correct them. Please ensure that you are completely thorough. Any carelessness may result in flaws in your profile. If these are not fixed promptly, your entire pre-planned process will be impacted.
English proficiency is a crucial requirement for students. So please make sure you work hard to improve it to make applying for a UK student visa easier. The Point Based System is used by the UK for visa processing. With careful planning and sufficient motivation to study abroad, you can apply for a UK student visa under the Adult Student – Tier 4 (General) with a score of 40 points.
The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the UK school/university will grant you 30 points. The remaining 10 points will depend on your financial ability to meet expenses according to the regulations of the British Border Agency (UKBA). Please note: you must open your savings account at least 28 days before the day you apply for your visa. Additionally, you will need to provide other evidence, such as a salary sheet of your parents’ monthly income, a land use rights certificate, and other assets.
Stage 2: UK student visa interview
The purpose of the UK student visa interview is to verify the accuracy of the previously submitted papers and processes. Furthermore, the key premise of this interview is that you are not authorized to provide the interviewer with incorrect information. An exam is then done by the UK Border Agency (UKBA).
Almost every student receives thorough training in public speaking and presentation techniques. However, you will undoubtedly be under a lot of pressure given the importance of the UK Student Visa application. Therefore, the key to passing this difficult interview is, most importantly, practicing frequently and learning to interview fluently, clearly, and logically.
